I slept in today, got up, had a glass of water, took a shower, then headed into the kitchen to make my coffee and cook my oatmeal I get to chose what to eat it with every morning.

It was then, as I was stirring my food in the pan when I realized: this is small, everyday luxury. I have access to drinking water, food, heat, I live in a safe and tidy home I have created for myself, I have friends to plan the weekend with – I have it all.

Not all of us are this fortunate. Try to keep in mind how privileged you are, if you have, similarly to me, access to all these good things that you tend to take for granted.
We are the lucky ones. Let’s cherish that and help to preserve our resources so that it remains enough for more of us.

Nouvelle Vague – Heaven

I was at two good friends’ wedding tonight, in Hungary.

A wedding is not only all formalities. It is a chance to celebrate the beautiful alignment of two, who share their path. No wonder dancing is part of the celebration. The parents, the newly-weds, friends and family dance, all together, to share the joy of a new beginning.

Some say life is a dance. When you find a partner and start dancing together, it is magical. The greatest dancers align their moves through happiness and hard times. As they are dancing, their moves are effortless. Which of course comes with practice, patience, self-knowledge and knowing and accepting each other.

I wish my friends a long and joyful dance together. Always as happy, as they were tonight.

Legyetek boldogok, Anna & Marci!
