We made it back home to Berlin – my parents drove me home and we spend the weekend together. After over a year that they were here, I finally get to enjoy showing them my favourite spots and just enjoy spending time together here.
Today’s to do was hiking the Havel Höhen Weg from Nikolassee to Grünwaldturm.
It was perfect.
This is a very cool vacation.
Today was the last day in Hungary of this amazing vacation – tomorrow, we continue in Berlin.
My sister and my nephews surprised us with a visit in the morning, I met a dear friend who I haven’t seen for a long time, we watched movies with my parents and played some games.
Re-charge.
Every second of being home was perfect, thanks to my family and friends.

Esztergom is the center of the Universe. At least that’s what we say in my family. Now that I got to spend some time in my hometown again, it struck me how beautiful this city can be.
The Danube, the castle and the cathedral, hills and parks. Esztergom has it all.
But most of all, my parents are here. ♥️
15 minutes of fame. It granted me some great friends, who never drift away.
We can play the über goth whenever we want, without any black.

The past few weeks have been dense, so today, we decided to take things slow and we were chilling at home the whole day. Board games, movies, watching photos and talking about silly things. It was just perfect.
It was another active day today. Some dear family friends came over to talk, tease each other and play.
We were jumping around in the living room to Led Zeppelin before their arrival, preparing snacks, then I got to help out with the dishes and the dishwasher, like I usually do. We had a great time. It felt like all the good old times.
It’s funny how a simple lazy evening in front of the TV watching movies with my parents feels like a real treat. Or phone calls or chatting with my friends.
Distance is an illusion. We are temporary arrangements.
I had such a cool day today! We showed my nephews our old home and the area we grew up in, visited the nicest spots of Budapest and were filled with nostalgy.
Then a dear friend of mine gifted me with an amazing afternoon and a ride back home by car.
Now it really felt like coming home.
I want these holidays to last for much longer!
I am really on vacation these days.
It’s so nice just to have time for anything, spend time with family, enjoy being a guest and not having to think about what awaits me when I get back. I forget even Corona these days, thanks to my sister’s family.
I am in a bubble.
The best part – in addition to having time with my nephews – of spending longer time at home is that I get to talk to my family. Sometimes we agree and many times we don’t, but that’s all right. We still talk and seek common ground.
I love my crazy twisted family.
We met my milk brother and his family today. It was great! The kids are now taller than me, we all grew a bit older, but family stays family – we are still the silly crowd known from skiing trips, family afternoons and wild activity.
