Drifting

I am taking the waves and found a nice flow at work lately. I use up all of my power in my brain every day, with great joy.

Today, I am thinking about drifts and waves and how they tend to have their own odd paces.
While some bring you closer to your destination, others drift you apart from some of your connections.

We all shape and get shaped by these drifts.
You are a drift.

Weekend charm

I cherish the weekends. Slow morning, long breakfasts, coffee talk with my family, tidying and enjoying my apartment, taking care of my plants, thinking about the future. Playing games with good company, baking something nice, taking a hot bath.

I only wish these weekends could be longer.
But sometimes these cherished times run through your fingers like notes in a Chopin Etude. They are charming and might take you on a journey. But sooner than you realize, they are over.
However, we still have tomorrow.

Sand glass

Time is slipping through our fingers during this pandemic. It’s already February.
But things will be not like this.

We will spend time together again, go to concerts again, travel, go on adventures, be carefree and breathe easily again. Nothing lasts forever. Now, we just get to practice patience.

Winter cold

Winter is coming. With a dear friend of mine, we shied away from a walk and preferred Zoom over freezing today. 🙂 But later on, we went for a walk with Báró, and the dark streets with the first Christmas lights in the windows felt like winter. Some of the bars are selling hot wine to go, and people seem to enjoy simply taking a walk.

I might will have to let my green autumn jacket rest for a while to enjoy this weather.

Long-awaited rain

After the past few days’ heat, finally it rained today. It was the kind of summer rain that appears all of a sudden, with heavy raindrops, flushing the heat away.
Finally we could take a long walk with my dog in the nearby park afterwards.

I love the smell of rain. It smells like a new beginning.

Farewell

Yesterday, I gave You my farewell kisses, and today, You’re gone. I hope all the good memories helped You across the way. We miss You.

Szeretlek, Mama!
