Friends

I know Teona for almost 7 years now. She was my very first friend in Berlin. We met for the first time, during my first week in this city, thanks to a planned run we then ended up not doing for another 3 or so years. We are best friends every since.

We finally could catch up after weeks and weeks of being busy and away. Brunch, good music, Sun, chilling in the garden, good news. Who needs more?

I can’t wait to see her again – next week, on her bachelorette party, and then on her wedding. I couldn’t be happier for her.

Thanks for being such a great friend! Here’s to another few 7 years of friendship! 😉

Hollow Coves – These Memories

Experiences

We went for a long hike today. It was a bit chilly, but we were prepared. We discovered a new area in Berlin, that was on my list of wandering routes for a long time: Erpetal. It was a long walk and our feet and legs got tired by the end, but it was something we experienced together. And we talked. About everything, randomly, as it came to our minds.

Afterwards, we got something for dinner, and while we were contently resting sitting next to each other, I was wondering if we had a shared experience now. For sure we collected today as a nice memory together, but I believe it meant different things for us. I sometimes wish I could stop time, just to get stuck in a moment.

But time never stops, and now we are carrying this shared experience in two versions within us.
It’s beautiful and sad in a way.

But today was a nice day. I wish we had more days like today – with nature, free time, no worries and great conversations, with the comfort of then coming home. With company who makes the weight of life lighter on your shoulders.

Countdown

Today was day 1 at the office. Still slow, half zombie, with only a few colleagues. Yet it was nice to see the familiar faces, laugh together during lunch, enjoy an after lunch walk in the Sun.

I felt different today. Light. Change is on its way.

Coastline

We spent a whole day by the shores of the Ostsee. It was perfect. We walked from Dierhagen all the way to Wustrow, on the beach, and back. Even the Sun came out to say hello in the morning.

One of the most fullfilling things in life for me is to watch my dog enjoying the shores. He even smiles as he’s running.

Some parts of this World are just perfect. Let’s not forget that.
